It's been 44 years since the blast.

It may be attractive,

But it is still active.

That eruption will not be its last.

Happy 40th!

It's been 40 years since it went boom.

And it filled the air up with it's plume.

So much ash took flight,

Turned day into night!

It gave nearby folks feelings of doom.
