Mothers Day

This weekend was not just for track.

We found some time to lay back.

We checked out this park,

Played games for a lark.

After driving all day, hit the sack!

Garage Door

Our garage door needed to be fixed.

'Cause parking inside had been nixed.

'Twas a broken hinge,

That did impinge.

At least the door wasn't deep sixed.

Urges

We went to this park for a walk,

With leaves the paths were chock a block.

This would be so grand

With leaf blower in hand.

The foliage was well worth the gawk.

 

Spring!

If Quarantine makes you feel gloom,

Breath deep of this blossom's perfume.

In my city park, 

This gave me a spark.

The plants are coming in to bloom!

Losing Daylight

My wife and I went, on a lark,

To take a long walk in the park.

But something went wrong,

And before too long,

The sun went down and it got dark!

Portland

Portlanders all have my pity,

For the traffic around their fine city.

The park was just fine.

We had a good time.

The walk by the river is pretty!

Park Wildlife

Every park needs to have a mascot,

And a cat is what this one has got.

He seems to be stoked,

When his fur is stroked.

As for taking him home? We are not!

Play Ball!

In the park we played ball, just us three.

For our bases we ran tree to tree.

It felt good to play,

On this sunny day.

The best things in life? They are free!

Wild Animal Park?

We went to play ball at the park,

And were met by this cat, which is dark.

It's friendly enough,

Its fur we did fluff.

To our day it added a small spark.

Sunny Days

With balls and gloves we did embark,

To spend time playing at the park.

The weather was great,

And, well worth the wait.

It gave the whole day a nice spark.
