 My dog crawled up into my lap,

Where he settled down for a short nap.

Which he happily took,

While I read my book.

He turned into a snuggle trap.

For my book/movie club it's a member.

Though I usually read it in November.

We watched it today.

They thought it okay.

Summer Lovin'

 I just started reading this book.
The title is a really great hook.
We should have some time
Before the ultimate crime.
But there seems to be a bleak outlook.

For Christmas I got this cool book.
Since it's snowing, reading time I took.
It's a funny, smart read.
Which is just what I need.
It's not technical gobbledygook.

To be honest, this book is a blast.

The character traits

Lead to some dire straits.

And the action is plenty and fast.

To read would be prudent.

 I've started reading this new book.

I think it's worth taking a look.

A fantasy tale

That is fresh, not stale.

For a series, this is a good hook.

It's nice when I finish a book,

Which has such an interesting hook.

It borrows from some, 

But the characters hum.

For the sequel I will take a look.

Reading for Pleasure

I've had this book for quite a bit

But procrastinated reading it.

I finished just now,

'Cause time did allow.

I enjoyed it I have to admit.

Hollow Earth

Some actors, they just like to write,

And the future of this one is bright.

You might know his name,

From Dr. Who fame.

This story so far? A delight!

Forgetting

I opened this used book to find,

Some notes with a message that's kind.

But it would behoove,

These old notes to remove,

They may need a note to remind.
