Flooding

We've recently had a lot of rain,

And for some it caused havoc and pain.

It has been delivered,

By atmospheric river.

Luckily, we're not on a flood plain.

Deluge

It started raining cats and dogs.

Through the streets my car had to slog.

Lots of hail and rain,

Made driving a pain.

Then my driveway drain had a clog.

Rain Shower

After school it was raining so hard,

It really did catch us off guard.

Gutters overflowed,

Through puddles we strode.

It was a very wet courtyard.

Wet

Sometimes hiking works up a sweat.

But on this hike we really got wet.

We mostly prepared,

Our rain gear we weared.

So we had fun and were not upset.

Weather Change

The weather has been nice and warm.

For Oregon that's usually the norm.

Now it's cool with rain,

For which I won't complain.

As long as it's not a huge storm.

Rain

 Our Spring Break has been filled with rain.

Staying inside all day is a pain.

The sound on the roof

Has been plenty of proof.

For this weather I do have disdain.

Spring Give Me a Break.

 I usually try not to fret,

But this year Spring Break's gonna be wet.

I was hoping for sun,

And lots of outside fun.

A few naps will help not be upset.

The Rain is Back.

 Last night we had a gentle rain.

Which we need for a healthy terrain.

We sat on the deck,

and took a rain check.

'Cause the sound and smell did entertain.

Camping In the Rain

 It really is such a big pain,

To try tent camping in the rain.

There were times it was nice,

But now we'll pay the price.

'Cause we have to dry our stuff again.

Summer Rain

This morning I woke to the sound,

Of rain hitting the roof and ground.

Does it bother me? No.

It helps the plants grow.

It's cheaper than watering, I've found.

Rain

Of the fires and smoke we complain,

And see pictures of black scorched terrain.

But soon that may end,

And begin to mend.

It finally started to rain!

Wind Storm

They say we are getting a storm,

That's a little bit worse than the norm.

Right now the big pain,

Is hard, driving rain.

I'm worried my trees will deform.

Driving in the Rain

I don't much like driving in rain.

In fact, I think it is a pain.

Some drive way to fast,

I don't mind being last,

If I get there and still remain sane.

Oregon

I live in a beautiful state,

Which I try to appreciate.

We do have it all,

Whether Winter or Fall.

Which even rain cannot negate.

More Rain

I'm getting so tired of the wet,

'Cause it hasn't stopped raining here yet.

Maybe I'll just go,

To where there is snow.

I'll get sick of that soon too, I'll bet.

Weather's Changing.

Today we finally had some rain,

Not a mist, but enough to maintain.

I'm not really sad,

We need it so bad.

So don't think that I'm going to complain.

Winter is a'comin'

Today was just pouring down rain,

Which is weather change I can explain.

Keep umbrellas near,

'Cause winter is here,

Get ready to hear kids complain.

Wet Fire Drill

I'll take a moment to explain, 

Why our school stood out in the rain.

It was just a drill,

But it gave us a chill.

And another excuse to complain.

High Water

After rain stopped falling from the skies,

I've been watching the local creek rise,

It is rather full,
With a very strong pull.

Stay back from the edge, I advise.

Home Sweet Home

It rains here in Oregon a lot.

If you leave stuff outside it will rot.

But you must persevere,

If you want to live here.

'Cause no one else has what we've got!
