Orchestra

 In orchestra, I'm kinda torn.
Do I play my trumpet? Or French Horn?
I might have to switch,
If someone has to ditch.
Bringing both is just kind of a thorn.

Band Practice?

I joined our town band with my wife.

So we have more music in our life.

It's been a long time

Since our playing prime.

Now I'm battling lip soreness strife.

 

Practice Time

 With a community band we will start.
So I needed to check out this chart.
I'll need time before,
My lips don't get sore.
I'm practicing my new trumpet part.

More Concerts?

Our town has a new fangled band.

Tonight we'll go see it as planned.

The players are all ages,

They volunteer, no wages.

We'll see if they're hopeless or grand.

Small Class

Today my class got really small.

After Music I had just 10 in all.

The rest got to skip

For a Band field trip.

And the rest of us? We had a ball.

Pep Band

A pep band played at tonight's game,

They were young, their sound was a bit lame.

But the memories flowed,

Making me feel old.

And the music they played sounds just the same!
