Election Day

I think tonight's result applies,

As a huge politcal surprise.

At the end a large bump,

Came through for D. Trump.

His voters, they did energize.

I Voted!

I hope you don't think that I gloat,

But tonight I did turn in my vote.

The best part? The top?

The phone calls should stop.

And that is an event of note!

Ballots

My ballot was in today's mail,

And I'll fill it out soon, without fail.

Only two weeks to go,

Then we will all know.

Will we celebrate victory or wail?

One important reason to vote,

Is to your values to promote.

Whoever you choose,

Just know they might lose.

If they win, then try not to gloat.

When slogans are all that we hear.

I wish they would note

Why they should get my vote.

All they do is their opponent smear.
