Small Class

Today, half my class will be gone.

A Band field trip they are on.

Lessons I can't start,

I guess I'll do Art.

Not sure if it's painted or drawn.

Field Trip

Our state capitol we did tour.
We like to leave school, for sure.
Our tour guide was cool,
She went to our school!
The bus ride I've learned to endure.

 

Small Class

Today my class got really small.

After Music I had just 10 in all.

The rest got to skip

For a Band field trip.

And the rest of us? We had a ball.

Field Trip

For field trips this is the best.

We pretend it's a pioneer quest.

It's always a favorite.

We have time to savor it.

At the end there is never a test.

 

Field Trip

Tomorrow we go on a trip.

Which means some school we get to skip.

We're singing a ton,

Then bowling for fun.

The bumpers we get to equip.

We went to the Stauffer Will Farm.
Which has historic, rustic charm.
My students had fun,
We ate lunch in the sun.
We used sharp tools without any harm.

Field Trip

Tomorrow I will have to abide,

A tiring and noisy bus ride.

I hope they're not wired,

And that they get tired.

With ibuprofen I'm supplied!

Field Trip

I don't always think it a plus,

When I get to drive a mini bus.

But it saves us some dough,

And it's not far to go.

So I guess that it's worth all the fuss.

Field Trip!

My students spent their afternoon,

Learning all about the moon.

We listened to talks,

And held some moon rocks.

This field trip was truly a boon!

John Day Fossil Beds

When I went on this hike I just knew, 

That I was going to like the nice view. 

I took a few stills,

Which show off the hills. 

And I'm sharing this wide one with you. 

Sumpter Dredge

If you're planning on digging for gold,

Then this dredge is a move which is bold. 

Though the scale is grand,

It chews up the land. 

Today it's rich history was told. 

Baker City

For this town a famous detail, 

Is history of the Oregon Trail. 

Some pioneers stayed, 

And this city made. 

Now we get to study the tale. 

Field Trip

I heading out on a long trip,

A week of school I get to skip.

We will prevail,

This Oregon Trail.

But we won't have to deal with hardship. (I hope)

Our local museum is swell.

The history those artifacts tell.

We walked all around,

Some fun facts were found.

Our field trip went very well.

Our Capitol was our only stop,

And we climbed all the way to the top.

The weather was great,

We learned of our state.

I'm just glad that it wasn't a flop.

Was our final stop.

Just don't come down those stairs too fast.

My class took a fun a field trip,

With great weather, skies didn't drip.

We toured an old farm

With some Pioneer charm.

This is one place I don't like to skip.

The Short Bus

I took my class on a short trip.

A mini bus was my pirate ship.

The museum was rad,

When we left they were sad.

The fact that I drove made it hip!

Tomorrow's the class field trip.
Which means the school day we will skip.
We go to a farm,
It's old, that's its charm.
The volunteers there are so hip.
