Represent!

I thought that it would be so cool,
To have a hat from my kids' schools.
So here are the lids,
For each of my kids.
I wear one each day is my rule.

 

Jersey Day

It was a Jersey dress up day.
I borrowed this, I did not play.
But it is family lore,
The number my kids wore.
The good news? I fit me okay.

 

Chickens

Getting close to a chicken is rare,

So they approached this hen with care.

They offered some food,

Which affected it's mood,

Then some hen cuddles they got to share.

Dirty Dishes

Dirty dishes pile up in the sink,

But to clean them my children don't think.

They have to be told,

Before there is mold.

Or before they all begin to stink. (The dishes, not the kids...)

New Cleats

A big help to soccer athletes,

Is wearing a good pair of cleats.

My kids outgrew theirs,

So we bought 2 pairs.

You can bet I'll be saving receipts.

Summer Camp

Our kids will be gone for a week.

Good times and great fun they will seek.

They do like this camp,

It shouldn't be damp.

When they come back I hope they don't reek!

Trifecta!

I watched my kids play in 3 sports.

One on a field, then two in courts.

I spent time on the go

Driving to and fro,

And now my tush is out of sorts.

Academic Awards Night

My kids earned awards, just a few.

Because they try hard, it is true.

Of both I am proud,

And I told them aloud.

My admiration for them grew.
