Small Class

Today, half my class will be gone.

A Band field trip they are on.

Lessons I can't start,

I guess I'll do Art.

Not sure if it's painted or drawn.

State Testing

 It is time to take our state test.
I hope they eat well and get rest.
I know it's not fun,
But it needs to get done.
Let's hope that they aren't feeling stressed.

Math and Literacy Night

 After school we had a special night.

Where parents and kids come on-site.

We do math and read,

Which helps us succeed.

I think my station was all right.

New Student

I have a new student today.

She replaces one who moved away.

It's tough to be new,

And to learn what to do.

I hope that it works out okay.

Staff Wins!

This assembly was a basketball game.

To the winner went glory and fame.

It wasn't that close.

The staff scored the most.

Now our victory I can proclaim!

Lap of Luxury

Our Middle School bathrooms are closed.
These trailers were recently imposed.
They seem to be nice,
I guess they'll suffice.
As long as students aren't exposed.

 

Baby Calves

These are new additions to our school.
Which I think is what helps make us cool.
You cannot dispute,
They are really cute.
We think these cute baby cows rule.

 

Valentine Party

Here's part of my Valentines haul.

So much candy, I can't eat it all.

Our party was good,

We had cookies for food.

After that comes the sugar withdrawal.

 

Valentine Meal

Here's a luncheon from our PPC.
They made it look nice, as you see.
With bread, cheese and meat,
We had lots to eat.
I appreciate what they do for me.

 

Valentines Day Party

 It's a class party for Valentines.

Where our candy and cards say "Be Mine."

Which leads to some giggles,

While passing out Skittles.

I guess in the end it's benign.

Fractions

 Math class is not a fun attraction.

Once we get passed the easy subtraction.

Next week we will start,

A really fun part.

It's time to begin to learn fractions.

Ready, Set, Blow!

A student had a stuffy nose.
Which in school is just how it goes.
She came all prepared,
So her germs were not shared.

Sunrise

In Winter, when I go to park,
It's usually early and dark.
I was lucky to see,
This sunrise to be.
So I took this picture on a lark.

 

Long Division

For a few weeks I have tried to guide,

My students to learn to divide.

They have learned a lot,

From what I have taught.

Now fractions are next to be tried!

Conferences

I finished conferences today.

Which means I had a lot to say.

The families I meet,

Over 20, I greet.

Now I will have a few days away.

Pre School Sunrise

My rural school's out in the sticks.
So I often get my sunrise fix.
The horizon is wide,
So it's easily spied.

Dress Up Day

It's a rare day when I don't wear plaid.
But today's 'fit was BBQ Dad.
I got to wear shorts,
While fake Crocs I sport.
Sometimes dress up day are not all bad.

 

Small Class

Today my class got really small.

After Music I had just 10 in all.

The rest got to skip

For a Band field trip.

And the rest of us? We had a ball.

Fire Drill

Each month our school must have a drill.

We leave the building, and just chill.

Yes, they did remember,

The last day of September.

But our obligation we did fill.

Open House

Open House yesterday was a hit.

The Corn Feed was great, I admit.

Many parents were there,

Which shows that they care.

Meeting parents is a benefit.
