I see hike.

Our hike last week turned out so nice.
The sunny weather did entice.
You should all be told,
It was a bit cold.
The trail in parts still had some ice.

 

Morning Ball

Once a week I get up to play ball.

Due to ice today it was a crawl.

My Prius did fine,

Getting me there on time.

And my shots did eventually fall.

Snow Day

 They've cancelled school due to the ice.

I have to admit this is nice.

There's forecast for snow

Which is why we won't go.

I wonder if it happens twice?

Daffodil Distopia

Our weather so far has been mild, 
But this past week it's getting wild.
These daffodil stalks
Must be flummoxed.
With ice and snow they have been piled.

 

Morning Ice

Not really snowing, freezing rain.

So in our warm house we remain.

We can take a shower,

'Cause we still have power.

We have games to help entertain.

The view here is really quite nice.

Even though it was covered with ice.

In summer it's grand,

A hike can be planned.

But a quick visit had to suffice.

Driving with caution

 Driving on ice is a trick,
And the roads in Portland were slick.
I had to go slow,
And keep my speed low,
While idiots want to drive quick.

Snow Day!

So I will not tell you a lie,

'Cause I'm not that kind of a guy.

I think that it's nice,

To stop school for ice.

I just don't want to teach in July.

BRRRR

On my weather app I have scrolled, 

And it told me it's going to be cold.

It would be so nice,

To be rid of this ice.

But the weather cannot be controlled.

Icy

You really should take my advice,

And not try to drive on the ice.

At first it just snowed,

Now there's ice on the road.

Sliding around is not nice.

Winter Driving

When driving on roads topped with ice,

Reducing your speed should suffice.

It gives me great pains

To put on my chains.

So slow down, is my good advice.
