Dog Mountain

It's the hardest hike that I've done.
Going up, then down Dog Mountain.
The trail is so steep,
That uphill I did creep.
In spite of it all I had fun.

 

Full Car

Our car is filled with camping gear.
And we're camping the first time this year.
Our dog has a grin,
Because we fit him in.
The best part? The weather was clear.

 

Loafin'

How many more poems can you take?
About the sourdough I bake.
I forgot the salt,
Totally my fault.
So a really bland loaf I did make.

 

Bribe

I was judge for a school talent show.

We did it for free, not for dough.

But someone did transcribe,

This wonderful bribe.

But it did not swing our votes, though.

 

Wood Cookies

We're camping this weekend, hooray,

For my older daughter's birthday.

I'm making wood cookies,

So names we can looky.

It is a normal camping way.

One Red Berry.

A title that is honorary.
Is this year's first ripe strawberry.
That means I can snack,
I my yard out back.
Am I excited? Yes, I'm very.

 

Danger Ahead!

It's good seeing signs on a hike.
Knowing where I am's something I like.
There's usually no ranger,
To warn you of danger.
It's no fun when danger does strike.
