Dethatching

 My lawn has a thick layer of thatch.

So I'm removing it patch by patch.

A big mess it does make,

That I have to rake.

Taking care of the yard has a catch.

Beagle Protest

Yesterday I was mowing the lawn,
But my beagle was not moving on.
It can't be too loud
'Cause she can't hear a sound.
I think she wants the lawn mower gone.

 

Weed and Feed

 My lawn has been in great need,

Of a way to get rid of the weeds.

So this stuff I spread,

My grass is well fed.

Now we wait to see if we succeed.

Harvest Time

So Sunday's the day we finally,
Picked the last apples off of our tree.
So now they are gone,
None rotting on the lawn.
Though I shouldn't complain, they are free!

 

Tall Grass

The grass in back was getting tall,

But I waited until rain did not fall.

It took me some time,

But now it looks fine.

Sometimes I wish my yard was small.

Sprinklers

The green in my grass is now gone, 

So I've decided to water my lawn.

Though it caused me woes,

I set up the hose.

Now those darn weeds will be quick to spawn.

Green (Half) Acre

This new mower is great on my lawn,

And it doesn't require much brawn.

When the trigger is held,

It is self propelled.

So my biggest complaint is now gone.
