It's a science lesson I like,
Where the name and picture are alike.
They make up a name,
Draw a picture the same.
Their attention this lesson does spike.

 

Day off?

 Today I am not at work.

But it's not that I'm trying to shirk.

I'm helping our science

Be more in compliance.

But a longer lunch sure is a perk.

Speed

 For science class we went outside,

To learn about speed we tried.

Divide distance by time,

Was our new paradigm.

So this formula we applied.

Liquid Nitrogen

Today we had fun with my class.

With Nitrogen; liquid, not gas.

Making lots of things cold,

It never gets old.

And yes, I did wear safety glass.

Breaking Bridges

My students these bridges did make,

To see how much weight they would take.

I piled on weight,

To reveal their fate.

Did their bridge hold together or break?

Assembly

This science assembly was cool,

It was watched by the entire school.

Some kids got to try,

Science to apply.

It showed us physics as a rule. 

Pitch Perfect

We're studying pitch based on size,

Which with these instruments applies.

By their length we'll know,

Is the pitch high or low.

Once you know it's easy to surmise.

Yummy DNA

These kids want to earn the grade 'A',

For their cool model of DNA.

It's made up of sweets,

Showing how protein meets.

And it comes in a homemade display.

Copper Man

We study the Periodic Chart,

To help make us element smart.

A hero we make,

A science keepsake.

I like mixing science and art.

Science Fair!

Our school put on a science fair.

Many interesting projects were there.

Students did not shirk,

But showed off their work.

It helps taking time to prepare.

Our school will soon have a big fair,

For which our students must prepare.

We're planning ahead

So the end they won't dread.

Their projects with us they will share.

Mythbusters

My students love watching these guys.

When we watch in class time just flies.

they show how things work,

With a humorous quirk.

They help young scientists get wise.

Sounds of Science

In Science we're studying sound.

With practice my students have found;

That pitch has a range

When the size you change.

Sound waves will no longer confound
