Vacation Laundry

Vacations can get pretty rough,
When you mess up and don't pack enough.
So we had to hire
A washer and dryer.
So we could clean all of our stuff.

 

Vacation

I am on vacation this week.

So if it is limericks you seek,

You won't see them new

I hope you're not blue.

When I'm back I will give you a peek.

Rome

There's not much in this pic that's new. 

Which helps this incredible view. 

I heard people say

"Rome's not built in a day."

It looks like this saying is true. 

Gelato

Just in case you really did not know, 

When in Italy, try the gelato. 

It is a great tool,

For keeping you cool. 

The flavor I chose was this mango. 

Switzerland

Today it was Switzerland's turn,

As we toured the city of Lucerne. 

We got some cheap thrills

From touring some hills. 

For more traveling I still yearn. 

European Vacation!

To another continent I will fly,

I hope that things don't go awry.

I'll take in the sights,

(After the long flights).

Presidents' Day

One reason this holiday's cool,

Is we don't have to go to school.

My day did consist,

Of doing my list.

And I used my new power tool.

Maroon Bells

I liked visiting Maroon Bells.

It was very quiet, low decibels.

Very pictoresque,

Not at all grotesque.

As a destination it excels.

Taj Mahal

Set up next to Snowmass Village Mall,

I enjoyed a live concert by Taj Mahal.

It was a good show,

The horns, they could blow.

They played all the way until nightfall.

Gondola Ride

Just across the Continental Divide,

We went for this cool gondola ride.

From Aspen we ascend,

The top is the end.

Then we descend the very same hillside.

Travel Stop

This weekend something raised my ire.

Something on my truck went haywire.

It started to shake,

I slammed on the brake.

I ended up buying a tire.

Crater Lake!

This National Park is a gift.

A lake in a volcanic rift.

Our visitors we took,

And stayed for a look.

This place gives my spirits a lift.

Vacation

I haven't posted for a week,

While camping, wi-fi I did seek.

But alas, there was none,

So no limericks begun.

Now it's time to begin a new streak!

Back to Work

It's the end of my 2 week long break.

Very early again I must wake.

I'm back to the grind,

Although I don't mind.

Sometimes too much time is hard to take.

Lake Fun

When your hair has become soaking wet,

With lake water, not stinky sweat.

There's one thing to do,

To fix your hairdo.

Just flip it, you crazy brunette.

Lake House

We rented a house on the lake,

So for a few days we could flake.

I'll take a short walk, 

To sit on the dock.

And hopefully memories make.

Home sweet home

"It's great to be home!" we all said.

On the ride home we all felt half dead.

At the world we did peek

And we had a great week.

But I can't wait to sleep in my bed.

Coming Home

You know it's the end of your week

When your clothes are beginning to reek.

I'll make a few suds

To clean up my duds.

Then it's back home to being a geek.

Grand indeed!

It's just a big hole in the ground,

Which is too big to go around.

But just what we saw

It inspires awe.

And others it seemed to astound.

Here's a Dam Limerick.

We've one week vacation to cram.

Before taking more classes I am.

Today for an hour

We saw what makes power.

We visited the great Hoover Dam.
