Haiku

 I'm teaching my students haiku.

Which many of them don't want to do.

We read them a lot,

And I found a good spot.

Choir Practice

We practice our songs for Sunday,

We won't be there this week, gone to play.

But my wife directs,

So we can't just neglect.

I hope that their song goes okay.

Hummingbird

A hummingbird live just outside.

In my bushes, I think it resides.

It sits in a tree,

Right where I can see.

Then it goes back to where it can hide.

Easter Eggs

First we hard boil, and then we dyed.

For some people, eggs they will hide.

But then it is valid,

To make some egg salad.

I like that, I think it's implied.

Happy Easter

We'll celebrate Easter today,

But it's also my young son's birthday!

Our family will meet,

Share gifts while we eat.

Then we'll all go our separate way.

Garage Sales

I don't have anything in mind.

But you never know what you will find.

I'll grab my small change,

And but something strange.

It's a fun treasure hunt, not a grind.

First Grill

Today I cooked meat on the grill.

I admit that it gave me a thrill.

The weather is better,

More drier than wetter.

My suburban dad duty's fulfilled.
