First Mow

The weather was sunny and warm,
Time to get the yard into good form.
Today was first mow,
It was a slow go.
Wet grass made it hard to perform.

 

Oopsie!

This small pond was really dark brown.
The duckweed covered it like a crown.
Our small dog fell in,
Luckily he can swim.
I was really afraid he would drown.

 

Report Cards

I'm writing report cards today.

I hope that it goes without delay.

The grading goes quick,

It's comments where they stick.

I hope students don't feel dismay.

Grand Niece!

She's the first of a new generation.
After waiting a lengthy duration.
That's such a sweet frown,
Topped off with a crown.
We give her a standing ovation!

 

Poor Dog

 

This poor pup just seems so neglected.
With blankets that we have collected.
His people were here,
So he got loves, don't fear.
To many pats he was subjected.

Duck!

These 2 ducks found a nifty spot.

Though their position seemed rather fraught.

Were they bothered by current?

Oh no, they weren't.

They seemed happy with what they got.

If you like children's books, then let loose.

It's the birthday of our Dr. Seuss!

His words can be silly,

And the stories a dilly.

You should read one today, no excuse!
