Mush Room

Near the end of our long forest slog,
We found mushrooms feeding on this log.
I'll just say in closing,
This is decomposing.

We took our cute dog on a hike.

And this fun pose we got him to strike.

It turned out so fine,

Of this furry canine.

This picture I really do like.

Halloween Spectators

My friends and I had a good seat.
To watch kids in our town trick or treat.
We had us a blast,
Watching costumes go past.
The variety of costumes was neat!

 

Watchdog

Here's our vigilant dog on the couch.

When watching outside, he's no slouch.

He warns us of deer,

So we will not fear.

For his exuberance I will vouch.

 

Splitting Wood

For the past few years I have been lax.

But today I got out my sharp axe.

I split some big chunks,

With some resounding thunks.

Then I added to my firewood stacks.

Fall Leaves

Colored leaves are a great part of Fall.

I just hate having to rake them all.

I'm one who believes,

I must clean up the leaves.

But my compost bin is just too small.

Dress Up Day

It's a rare day when I don't wear plaid.
But today's 'fit was BBQ Dad.
I got to wear shorts,
While fake Crocs I sport.
Sometimes dress up day are not all bad.
