It's a misused punctuation tool,
Which follows just one simple rule.
It just makes it known,
A thing that you own.
Learn well, or risk looking a fool.
Except for contractions, of course,
It's the other rule always in force.
When we leave letters out,
It's there, leaves no doubt.
I'll repeat it until I am hoarse!
