First Grill

Today I cooked meat on the grill.

I admit that it gave me a thrill.

The weather is better,

More drier than wetter.

My suburban dad duty's fulfilled.

Some National Days are just weird.
Like this day I think just appeared.
I think PBJ,
I sometimes okay.
It's just bread with some soft stuff all smeared.

My favorite day of the year?

No, this is one that I fear.

Sometimes they tell jokes,

That aren't new to old folks.

I hope that there's new jokes to hear.

Tie Dye Tuesdays are Back!

Tuesdays after Spring Break are fly.
'Cause that's when we wear our tie dye.
We had a small party,
So we could get arty.
Now my new shirt is colorfully dry.

 

New Student

I have a new student today.

She replaces one who moved away.

It's tough to be new,

And to learn what to do.

I hope that it works out okay.

Spring Broke

Today's the last day of Spring Break.

It's one week, but hey, that I'll take.

I got some stuff done,

Took some naps, had some fun.

Now it's back to school, for Pete's sake.

No Kings Rally

Our small town had a big turnout.
We had lots of signs leaving no doubt.
The theme was No Kings,
'Cause of illegal things.
It was a fun thing to check out.
