Mussels

Against the strong tide they tussle.
To hold on to rocks with strong muscles.
They wait for high tide,
Before opening wide.
Here's a large collection of mussels.

 

Struggle Bus

On a hike, we found this old bus.
To be honest, it looks pretty sus.
Resting on its side,
What was that last ride?
It seems to have been perilous!

 

Fungus Among Us

Lately, it's been rainy and wet,
In that weather, here's what you get.
Cool looking fungus,
Both small and humongous.
I've not checked if they're edible yet.

 

Holiday Memories

They don't mention this in travelogues,
It's a detail travelling with dogs.
They do tend to shed,
Not just in their bed.
And it can lead to big hairy clogs.

 

December Weather?

This just isn't how I remember,

Our Coast weather during December.

My wife and I grinned,

All sun, little wind.

As we viewed all the tidepool members.

 

Exploring in Comfort?

We wanted to enjoy this nice weather,

So we drove to the beach together.

Here is our small dog,

Posing on a log.

And wearing a warm, comfy sweater.

New Appliance

The purpose of today's short post,

Is our dryer gave up the ghost.

The new one arrived,

'Cause we can't be deprived.

To the quick delivery men, a toast!
