Birthday Cribbage

We just had a fun cribbage party.

With wonderful snacks, we ate hearty.

We kept switching chairs,

Played cribbage in pairs.

My wife planned it all, she's a smarty.

Happy Birthday

On my birthday I wanted a treat-a,

Went to dinner with my senorita.

Got some Mexican food,

Which was really good,

And a yummy mango margarita.

Eve

It is kinda hard to believe,

But today is my birthday eve.

So let me assure,

I'm much more mature.

And no longer am I so naive.

Woe is Me.

The storms nearby caused us some strife.

But did not alter our way of life.

One thing made us frown.

The Internet's down!

Which caused work problems for my wife.

Country

This picture shows off a nice perk,

Of where it is I go to work. 

You see it is true,

I have a nice view. 

Even after weather goes berserk.

Windy

We're supposed to have a small wind storm.

Which where we live is just not the norm.

I'm hoping our trees,

Aren't damaged by breeze.

Or that a tornado will form.

Planting Seeds

As Spring approaches I have needs.

Like buying and planting some seeds.

We might be awash,

With various squash.

I don't look forward to pulling weeds.

Clad in Plaid

 Look closely to see how we're clad.
The teachers are all wearing plaid.
You don't have to guess,
It's just how I dress.
The others just copied my fad.

Movie time

 I haven’t heard much of this flick. 

But it’s Marvel so it should be sick. 

Just got me a snack

Now I’ll sit back

And watch the New Captain kick.

Lonely?

This weekend I've been all alone.

But I don't want to whine, gripe and moan.

The dogs need the care

I've got freedom to spare.

But I'll be glad when she comes home.

Valentines

The class decorated our bag,

To hold all our Valentine swag.

The party's on hold,

Due to snow and cold.

Sometimes waiting can be a drag.

Snow Day!

This morning we actually had snow.
So to school I did not have to go.
I did do some work,
Work from home is a perk.
And snow days are always primo!

 

RIP

I've worked here a long time, I think.
So long that my pen's out of ink.
An accomplishment? Yes,
No I have 1 pen less.
Do you think that this calls for a drink?

 

Maybe?

Thursday we think there may be snow.

The question? To school should we go?

A hard choice to make,

But it could be high stakes.

I'm glad I'm not running the show.

Barking Beagle Blues

Our beagle is getting so old.

For her constant barking we do scold.

I think she forgets, 

Or is having regrets.

Sometimes she cannot be consoled.

Lazy Sunday

Watching basketball on the divans,

After finishing my lesson plans.

Listened to a pod,

Pet my canine squad.

For Sundays like this we are fans.

Indoor Track and Field

They didn't give medals of gold,

And this indoor event was so cold.

But we were just pumped,

When she ran and jumped.

A track meet is fun to behold.

Advice

I met with my financial advisor,

So I won't  retire a miser.

Today we began,

A small simple plan.

It's not good to be an improvisor!

Blah

Lucky, I don't often get sick,

But today, my brain ain't moving quick.

I guess I'm just tired,

Bored, uninspired.

Perhaps a nap will do the trick?

Oregon Trail

Our unit about Oregon Trail,

Is entertaining, without fail.

I teach history,

To reduce mystery.

Now they know that it's no fairy tale.

Snow Delay?

I don't think that I can downplay,

The attraction of a snow delay.

My favorite part?

The 2 hour late start.

'Cause we won't have to make up the day!

Groundhogs Predictions

The groundhog's prediction has been heard.

Which, scientifically is absurd.

If you're playing along,

He's more often wrong.

And only right for about a third.

Wow

 Sometimes a secret is well kept.

This huge trade is hard to accept.

But it helps out both teams,

At least how it seems.

We will see if it turns out inept.

A Hairy Situation

This is really an old lock of hair.

From my grandfather's head it did bear.

But I don't have a clue.

With what I should do.

Should I clone? Or is that a nightmare?
